CINCINNATI – Four Musketeers hit double figures, led by 14 points for Jovan Milicevic, as Xavier took a 88-67 win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Friday evening at Cintas Center.
Xavier is back at Cintas Center to continue the five-game homestand on Monday, Dec. 1, hosting Saint Francis. The Musketeers and the Red Flash get underway at 7:00 p.m. on TruTV.
NOTABLES
The Islander’s led early, but an 11-0 Xavier run midway through the first half put the Musketeers in front, 19-11, with 10:57 remaining in the half. The Musketeers led the remainder of the half, going up by as many as 13 before taking a 43-33 lead into halftime. Tre Carroll and All Wright each had seven to lead the Musketeers in the first half.
The Musketeers opened up the second half with a 10-0 run to take a 20-point lead, 53-33, with 17:18 to play. Xavier led by as many as 26 before winning by a final score of 88-67.
Jovan Milicevic led the Musketeers with 14 points, connecting on 4-of-8 from outside. He’s recorded double figures in five straight games and six of eight games this season.
Anthony Robinson had a season-high 12 points, shooting 5-of-7 from the floor.
Tre Carroll finished with 11 points, recording double figures in every game so far this season.
Filip Borovicanin finished with his second double-double of the season after scoring 10 points and grabbing a collegiate career-high 15 rebounds. He’s the first Xavier player to have 15 or more in a game since Jack Nunge vs. Cincinnati in the 2021-22 season (12-11-21).

Xavier connected went 8-of-16 from outside in the first half, finishing with 12 made-threes to marking XU’s fourth-straight game with at least 10 outside shots. The Musketeers also had a four-game streak last season in games played Nov. 8-20. Xavier’s longest streak of games in a single season with at least 10 3-pointers is six, which the Musketeers set in the final six games of the 1998-99 season.
Eight Musketeers hit a three-pointer, including Ian Sabourin, who recorded his first collegiate three.
Xavier caused 10 turnovers, outscoring the Islanders 14-4 on points off miscues.
The Musketeers had a 28-7 advantage on fast-break points.
