The Texas Organ Sharing Alliance (TOSA) recognized the four Williamson County Justices of the Peace with its Recognition of Excellence in Organ Donation award. The honor highlights the justices’ commitment to supporting families and preserving opportunities for organ donation during some of the most difficult moments a family can face.
During the presentation, TOSA commended the Williamson County Justices of the Peace for their dedication, stating, “These four justices of the peace consistently go above and beyond in their service to the citizens of Williamson County. Whenever the potential donor patient falls under their jurisdiction, they do everything in their power to give families and patients both a thorough investigation and preserve the opportunity for donation, honoring patient wishes through donor registries and allowing families to find peace and healing by helping others through their loss.”
The award reflects the strong partnership between Williamson County and TOSA in supporting organ donation and honoring the wishes of patients and families. The justices work closely with TOSA to ensure timely communication, accurate investigative processes and respectful support for families who choose to give the gift of life.
The Recognition of Excellence in Organ Donation award is presented to agencies and individuals who demonstrate exceptional cooperation and advocacy for organ donation throughout Central and South Texas.
