LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech volleyball (10-20, 2-16) fell to Utah (15-14, 7-11) in three sets to conclude its 2025 campaign.
The Red Raiders celebrated seniors Peyton Dunn, Jasmine Martin and Aliyah McDonald as it was their final time in a Texas Tech uniform.
Kalli Jioshvili Ravva led all attackers with 12 kills as Jasmine Martin showed out in her final match, going for seven kills and hitting .357. Sierra Grizzle had another 20-dig game and Dunn recorded 22 assists to round out the leaders for Tech.
How It Happened:
Set 1:
Neither team had more than a two-point lead during the first part of the set. The Utes took a 15-14 lead into the media timeout. Not much changed out of the break, but Utah took the set 25-22 thanks to four blocks and a .433 hitting percentage.
Set 2:
Tech took an early 7-3 lead that forced a Utes timeout. Out of that break the teams exchanged several long rallies before Utah was able to go on a 5-0 run that forced a Red Raider timeout. Tech scored two of the next three points out of the timeout, but Utah went on a 7-0 run to win the second set 25-19.
Set 3:
The Utes were dialed in from the start as they made quick work of the Red Raiders in the third set, winning 25-13 to take home the victory.
