An Instagram-worthy coffee shop is now open at The Shops at La Cantera.
La La Land Kind Cafe is holding a soft opening over the next week, featuring its signature sweet coffee creations in its signature bright yellow cups. The viral coffee shop will host a grand opening on Dec. 6, according to an Instagram post.
The coffee shop is taking over the former home of Francesca’s at the Northwest Side open-air mall. It’s the Dallas-based chain’s first outpost in the Alamo City.
The grand opening party is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6. Customers can get 50% off on all drinks and toast, and the first 300 guests get free La La Land-themed gifts.

La La Land Kind Cafe first opened 2019 in Dallas. The coffee shop blew up for both its trendy, bright-colored look and its mission.
The cafe employs interns who are aging out of the foster care system to help them transition into adulthood. The chain describes “kindness” as its founding principle.

The shop’s menu is full of picturesque coffee drinks and toasts. There’s the bright pink and green strawberry matcha latte called Strawberry Fields; a lavender-flavored espresso drink named Lavender Bloom; and an array of avocado and fruit toasts, including truffle burrata and classic avocado toast.
The San Antonio shop is open in time for La La Land’s holiday drink lineup, including the S’Mores Cloud Latte and Sugar Cookie Latte.
La La Land’s drinks are served in clear cups with bright yellow tops and coffee cup sleeves that say “Be Kind.”

The chain first branched out into multiple locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It has since expanded to Houston, Austin, Los Angeles and Nashville. It’s also planning a location in Scottsdale, Ariz.
