FORT WORTH – Ramon Palacio, 84, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Funeral service: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Ramon lived in Piedras Negras, Mexico, then went to live with his sister in Weiser, Idaho and worked for the potato industry. He came back to Eagle Pass, Texas where he learned to weld and became a certified welder working for American Steel, Falcon Steel, Trail Master and American Manufacturing Company. He went to Tarrant County College to earn his GED and also went to night school and received his citizenship. Ramon was a devoted Christian, he enjoyed reading and studying his Bible. He enjoyed walking to the Grand Plaza Mall before the stores opened, with his friends, and going to the movies every week when possible. He was preceded in death by his father, Catarino Palacio and mother, Maria Isabel Aguilar; sister, Rosenda Trujillo; and brother, Hilario Palacio; grandchildren, Lissette Segura, Matthew Herrera and Andrew Belmares. Ramon is survived by his wife, of 46 years, Irene Palacio; six children, sons, Raymond, Chris Palacio, and Phillip Herrera and wife, Lisa; daughters, Gloria Segura and husband, Alberto; Celinda Flores and husband, Jesse and Felicia Herrera; 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The family would love to thank everyone who took care of him at Marine creek Nursing Home and Rehab.
