A stretch of Interstate 35 East near Lake Dallas was blocked Thursday afternoon after an 18-wheeler caught fire, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
According to an online incident report, the semi-truck was ablaze along a portion of the highway near Swisher Road. On its Facebook page, Lake Dallas officials attributed the shut down to a “major accident.”
All lanes, northbound and southbound, were closed as a TXDOT camera showed drivers exiting at Quail Run Drive.
Corinth police said to expect “significant delays,” but did not provide an estimate as to when the lanes would reopen.
