STORRS, CT (WFSB) – The UConn men’s basketball team may climb a bit in Monday’s Associated Press Top 25 Men’s Basketball Poll.
While the No. 5 Huskies haven’t lost since last weekend and defeated No. 13 Illinois on Friday, No. 3 Houston lost to Tennessee last week.
The rest of the top 5, including Purdue, Arizona, and Duke, remained unbeaten last week.
UConn (6-1) defeated Illinois 74-61 at Madison Square Garden in New York City as part of the SentinelOne Showdown.
Malachi Smith led the Huskies with 14 points and 9 assists.
UConn heads to Lawrence to taken on Kansas on Tuesday. Tip off is at 9 p.m.
