World Wrestling Entertainment is officially making its return to Lubbock — and longtime fans know just how big that is for the Hub City.
FMX has a deep, well-earned history with WWE dating all the way back to the WWF era. Over the years, we hasn’t just hosted events —we’ve actively supported them. From live shows to personal appearances, ring announcements, and behind-the-scenes involvement, Lubbock has consistently shown up for professional wrestling and we’re glad to have been a part of it. So yes, the excitement is very real. Calling it “stoked” might actually undersell it.
What Is the “Road to WrestleMania” Supershow That’s Coming To Lubbock?
The event scheduled for Lubbock is officially titled “The Road to WrestleMania Supershow.” At this stage, it appears to be a classic WWE house show, meaning it won’t be televised — but don’t let that fool you. House shows are often where fans get the most authentic, high-energy wrestling experience, with bigger matches, more crowd interaction, and fewer restrictions than televised events.
So far, WWE has not announced which Superstars will be appearing, but that’s typical at this point in the rollout. With WrestleMania season approaching, fans can reasonably expect a strong lineup, likely featuring major names in active storylines. Superstar announcements are expected before next week.
A Wild Valentine’s Weekend in the Hub City
If you thought Valentine’s Day in Lubbock was usually quiet, think again. This WWE event lands on Saturday, February 14th, a date that’s already stacked. The Lions Club Pancake Breakfast, Nightmare on 19th Street’s “Love Bites” event, and Rodney Carrington are all happening the same day.
In other words: it’s going to be busy everywhere — and not just restaurants.
