Have you seen these people? A Silver Alert was issued for an elderly couple from Lubbock after they failed to return home from a road trip. They were last seen on Thanksgiving.

Missing Lubbock Couple At Risk

According to the Silver Alert issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Charles Lightfoot, 82, and Linda Lightfoot, 81 were last seen at the 2300 block of 59th Street in Lubbock on November 27 around 3 PM.

 

Their vehicle, however, a 2024 silver Toyota Camry, was last spotted in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, on November 28.

According to Everything Lubbock, neither Charles nor Linda carry a cellphone or any device that can be traced. Also, as Charles depends on an oxygen tank for breathing, their disappearance is considered a threat to their health and safety.

If you have any information on their whereabouts or the last location of their vehicle, authorities urge citizens to contact the Carson County Sheriff’s Office at (806) 537-3511.

You can also make a call to 911 to report the Lightfoot’s location.

What Are Texas Silver Alerts?

First created in 2007, Texas’ Silver Alert program is designed to alert the public of any missing elderly adults who may be facing health or safety risks.

In order for a missing person to be eligible for a Silver Alert, they must fall within at least one of the following criteria:

Over 65 years old or diagnosed with Alzheimer’s DiseaseHas a diagnosed impaired mental conditionAlternative reasons for their disappearance have been ruled outSilver Alert request is within 72 hours of disappearanceSufficient evidence that the public could assist in locating missing persons
