Selling a home is one of the most major, stressful things a person can do. It doesn’t matter if you find yourself looking to sell in a so-called “seller’s market” or not, really. Repairs, maintenance, listing the property, and being out of the house when prospective buyers want to take a look, all while you are likely in the process of planning your own move, is a lot for anyone to handle at any time.
Given all those headaches, it sure would be nice if your house didn’t stay on the market for very long, but alas, that is not typically the case. According to real estate brokerage firm Redfin in September, the average number of days a house in the U.S. stays on the market is 43. That lengthy number is due in part to inventory being up 14% more than the same time last year.
However, for a good number of Dallas County neighborhoods, such concerns are not particularly concerning, apparently.
According to a recent report from SmartPointe Real Estate, at least 20 neighborhoods in Garland, Richardson, Carrollton, Dallas, Addison and Irving, among other cities, have seen an impressive amount of homes sell blazingly fast, with some subdivisions seeing averages of just a few days on the market.

Not only does the map of neighborhoods listed below stretch from all corners of the county, but the financial terrain traversed on this list is equally vast. Some of the homes that sold quickly did so for under $100,000 for example, but others on the list went for well over $1.8 million.
SmartPointe took MLS data from September, October, and Novemeber, noting the neighborhoods with three or more homes sold to come up with the lowest average days on the market (DOM) for each group.
