CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Police arrested a 62-year-old man last Saturday after being accused of shoplifting.
The Corpus Christi Police Department said it arrested the man after responding to a call regarding a theft in the 5000 block of South Padre Island Drive.
Police, along with loss prevention, located the man in the vicinity, still in possession of the stolen items, according to police.
Police said that as part of the department’s Holiday Initiative Plan, officers will continue to be assigned to business areas throughout the city during the holiday season to help deter criminal activity. Officials encourage residents to remain vigilant and take precautions to reduce their chances of becoming victims of crime.
