Houston firefighter accused of stealing credit card information from fellow firefighter

  • October 16, 2025

HOUSTON – A firefighter with the Houston Fire Department was arrested after being accused of stealing the credit card information from a fellow firefighter and then attempting to buy $650 in products online with the information.

Curtis Jones, 28, has been charged with credit card abuse. He was arrested Thursday morning at his home after his IP address was connected to the crime, according to the Harris County Pct. 1 Constable’s Office.

“It is especially unfortunate when a first responder takes advantage of a fellow first responder,” Harris County Constable Precinct One Alan Rosen said. “Our investigation is ongoing. More charges are possible.”

Authorities say Jones and the victim were both assigned to Houston Fire Station 21 on Main Street in June when the crime allegedly occurred.

The victim reportedly left his wallet in a backpack at the station.

Jones is accused of going online and attempting to charge $650 for a shirt and a pair of sneakers on the victim’s credit card.
