LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – An 18-year-old is formally charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after shooting a woman in the legs in early November.
Cerna was indicted by the Lubbock County Grand Jury on Tuesday.

Lubbock police responded to a convenience store just after 5 a.m. on Nov. 2 near 34th St. and Quaker Ave. for reports of shots fired.
When officers arrived, they found 41-year-old Roxanna Orozco with multiple gunshot wounds to her legs. She was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
According to LPD, Orozco was working outside of the store when a vehicle driven by Cerna pulled up. Cerna had a female passenger with him at the time who got out of the car and entered to use the bathroom.
LPD said the woman was told no and she got back into the vehicle. Cerna proceeded to get into an argument with Orozco then shot her three times while she tried to get back inside of the store.
Cerna was served a warrant three days later at his home on Nov. 5 and was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.
Cerna is still booked into the LCDC on a $300,000 bond.
