EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The El Paso Fire Department is advising the community of an upcoming training, where residents may see increased fire crews in El Paso’s Lower Valley.

The Wildland Urban Interface training, in coordination with state and national fire service partners, will be underway from Dec. 1-4 near the Feather Lake Wildlife Sanctuary.

Residents near the area may see increased fire department activity. EPFD is advising residents that this is a scheduled training and not a cause for concern.

According to the fire department, this exercise supports ongoing efforts to enhance our preparedness and response capabilities for wildland fire incidents.
