A $35 million estate in University Park was the most expensive home to hit the market in Texas in recent weeks.
The 12,957-square-foot mansion at 6601 Hunters Glen Road is among the most expensive residential listings in North Texas, trailing only the iconic Crespi Estate.
Five of the state’s 10 priciest homes to hit the market recently were in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to a list from the Houston Association of Realtors. The association uses information from local listing services throughout the state, including North Texas Real Estate Information Systems.
The homes were listed between Oct. 30 and Nov. 25.
It’s the University Park property that tops this list. Built in 1927, the nearly 2-acre Volk Estates property has five bedrooms, six bathrooms and three and a half bathrooms.

All bedrooms, bathrooms, family spaces, offices and media areas have been updated in the three-story estate. The home has ten wood-burning fireplaces, according to the listing.
The property also includes a sculpture garden, putting green, a tennis and pickleball court, children’s playground, a two-story cabana with guest quarters and a completely remodeled gym.
The home’s pool was recently resurfaced and retiled. Alex Perry of Allie Beth Allman & Associates is handling the listing.
