The fire effected six units in the apartment complex, fire crews say.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Fifteen people are displaced after a three-alarm fire in Arlington, officials said.

Firefighters were called to the scene of an apartment fire early Wednesday morning near Randy Drive and Park Springs Boulevard, officials on the scene said.

The fire started in the back of an apartment and quickly spread to the attic, Arlington firefighters said. A third alarm was called to contain the fire from spreading further.

A total of six units were burned. The Red Cross is on scene helping those who were displaced, crews say.

It took firefighters almost an hour to extinguish the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.Â
