Another round of wintry precipitation is headed to North Texas.
Before it arrives, conditions should be pleasant Wednesday with a high of 62 degrees and mostly clear skies, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.
Rain chances are expected to climb overnight, with a 40% chance of showers all day on Thursday. There is a low possibility of sleet in the early morning hours to the northwest of the metro area, but ice is not expected to accumulate on roads.

The cold rain should mostly clear out of North Texas by Thursday night, reinforcing some of the colder temperatures seen earlier in the week. The high on Thursday is only 44 degrees, and the overnight low approaches freezing at 33.
Sunnier conditions are expected through the weekend, with mostly seasonable highs and lows.
