COLLEGE STATION — It appears Texas A&M football will be searching for a new offensive coordinator this offseason.

Kansas State has scheduled a news conference for 4 p.m. Wednesday, According to KWCH in Wichita, Kan.

In Klein’s second season as the play-caller, A&M rose to No. 16 in scoring offense in 2025, averaging 36.3 points per game. The Aggies are fifth in the SEC in total offense, tallying 454.4 yards per game.

Klein is an alumnus of Kansas State, playing for the Wildcats from 2009 to 2012. As a player, Klein finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting in his final season, passing for 2,641 yards and 16 touchdowns, while rushing for 890 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Klein was on staff with the Wildcats from 2017 to 2023, serving as quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator from 2022 to 2023.
