HOUSTON — Six Houston suspects are now in federal custody in connection with a series of violent ATM robberies in other states, the feds say.Â
FBI Houston SWAT teams and agents worked with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Â Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Texas DPS Southeast to make the recent arrests.Â
Jeremy A. Spiller, Roosevelt R. Keys, Ronald E. Charles, and Donovan M. Taylor face multiple federal charges, including conspiracy and interstate travel to commit a violent crime.Â
Two other suspects, Â Jackie D. Bergeron and Domnick N. Snell, were arrested earlier on similar charges.Â
The FBI says the suspects traveled to western states, including Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah, to commit the robberies. Investigators say they would cause ATMs to malfunction and then wait for technicians to show up to repair them. The technicians were then attacked and robbed of the cash cassettes, according to the FBI.
