A man from Mexico who was living in Dallas was arrested earlier this week after he allegedly created TikTok posts to solicit people to kill ICE agents, according to a news release Thursday from federal prosecutors.
Eduardo Aguilar, 23, is facing charges for transmitting in interstate or foreign commerce a communication containing a threat following his arrest Tuesday, the release from the U.S. Department of Justice said.
Aguilar made an initial appearance Wednesday afternoon before a federal magistrate judge in Dallas, according to authorities. The judge ordered that he remain in federal custody.
According to court records, the Spanish social media post was published on TikTok on Oct. 9 and said “I need 10 dudes in Dallas with determination (guts) who aren’t afraid to [two skull emojis],” according to the release. The second phrase in the same post said “10K for each ICE agent.”

“Threats against our law enforcement officers are completely unacceptable,” said acting U.S. Attorney Nancy E. Larson in the release.
