It’s time to put up or shut up now. The Detroit Lions’ room for error is razor-thin, and while a loss doesn’t eliminate them from playoff contention, it certainly makes it extremely difficult, considering they play one of the best teams in the NFC next week. The loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving was rough, but it’s time to turn the page and focus on the Dallas Cowboys now. Both teams are on the outside of the playoffs currently, and with the Lions on a downward trend recently, they host a Cowboys team on a three-game winning streak, still fighting for a divisional title and playoff hopes.
“They’re playing good football,” said Lions head coach Dan Campbell. “Playing with a lot of confidence, man they’ve beefed up that defense, it’s a really good d-line. Those guys are active. (Matt) Eberflus has done a hell of a job, he’s a good defensive coordinator, we know him obviously he was in this division, defense always played well. What (Brian Schottenheimer)‘s done offensively over there in (Dak) Prescott, those two receivers, they got a run game, o-line’s rugged. It’s a good team. This is a real good team playing at high level of confident football. Should be a good test for us man, we’re pretty fired up.”
