James Beard award-nominated chef Jason Dady is opening a new restaurant at Pearl.

Umai Mi will open at Pearl’s Bottling Department Food Hall on Dec. 10.

“Umai Mi is Chef Jason Dady’s playful take on modern Asian fare — bold flavors, bright textures & craveable bowls built for everyday eating,” read a description on Dady’s website.

Dishes on the menu will be drawn from various locations across Asia, according to the website, and the menu will include sweet drinks like boba teas. A photo on Dady’s website shows a bánh mì, a Vietnamese sandwich.

Dady has established restaurants across San Antonio, most recently Roca & Martillo and Ice Ice Dady at the Rock at La Cantera. He previously tried the Umai Mi concept at another location at the Alley on Bitters on San Antonio’s Northside.

Dady’s other restaurants have included Italian and barbecue options. He was featured on The Food Network’s “BBQ Brawl” television show.
