Both drivers and a passenger were hospitalized after colliding Wednesday at U.S. 287 and Prairie Ridge Boulevard.

DALLAS — A two-car crash along U.S. 287 left two people injured and killed another, Grand Prairie police said.

The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, police say, when a Toyota car, travelling north on 287, made a left turn onto Prairie Ridge Boulevard. That’s when the Toyota crashed into a Ford truck that was travelling southbound on that road, police said.

Two people in the Toyota, as well as the driver of the Ford, were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, police say. The passenger in the Toyota was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The victim’s identity will be released by the Ellis County medical examiner once the next of kin are notified.

No charges are expected to be filed in the ongoing investigation, Grand Prairie PD said.
