LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A second Republican has announced her candidacy for Lubbock County clerk.
Sandy Garcia is joining the Republican primary ticket. She is running for Kelly Pinion’s place after Pinion announced she would not seek re-election.
Garcia has served as a deputy clerk for more than 24 years. She said she aims to further the digitization of records to enhance public access and accuracy and is committed to preserving historical records.
So far, Garcia and Rebeca Gonzales have announced campaigns for the Republican nomination. Kerri Padilla is running for the position as a Democrat.
