A serious crash involving multiple vehicles unfolded in Southeast Houston after a man reportedly fired shots and stole somebody’s car. Officials tell KPRC 2 that there is a possible fatality.
The incident was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. The crash happened at 8101 Park Place Boulevard, near the Gulf Freeway.

8:29 am. Officers called about major accident involving four vehicles.
Suspect drove white SUV. He exited after causing accident.
He fired rounds in the air. He then carjacked a black SUV and fled the scene on to I-45 North. He drove several blocks north to Woodridge, where he carjacked ANOTHER BLACK SUV at gunpoint. Not sure if that car was disabled or how he did this.
Officers were actively looking the newly jacked black SUV. Deputies with Pct. 1 were able to locate him. He was attemptuing to carjack another white Dodge Ram truck that was stranded on Highway 59 Northbound next to George R Brown convention center.
Deputies apprehended suspect and arrested him without further chaos.
1 victim deceased, Black female.
KPRC 2 is at the scene of the crash. There were four or more cars involved in the wreckage.
After the crash happened, one of the drivers involved reportedly got out of his car, pulled out a gun and began firing shots. He then carjacked a nearby car and fled the scene.
The suspect was then apprehended by police. Authorities confirmed he is now in custody.
Officials tell KPRC 2 that there has been a possible fatality associated with either the wreck or the subsequent shooting. We are working to gather more details.
