A fast-growing city with limited grocery options has attracted a big national brand.

Fate, nestled on the eastern side of Dallas-Fort Worth, is set for a retail shopping center that will be anchored by Kroger, according to a statement by Davidson Bogel Real Estate, a boutique land investment advisory group and brokerage firm.

The roughly 70-acre site is located east of Lake Ray Hubbard.

It’s an important addition for the municipality that is on the rise in North Texas. Fate is the eighth-fastest growing city in the country, based on a minimum size, according to the U.S. Census.

It reached more than 27,000 people last year, expanding by 11%. While that’s a slower clip than Anna and Princeton, it’s a quicker pace than Melissa.
