Applications are now open for Texas Fashion Week, giving up-and-coming designers until Feb. 1 to apply to show of their creations at the June event.

Taking place June 1-7 at the top of Frost Tower, the gathering will bring together fledgling fashion designers from across the Lone Star State as well as designers from fashionable locales around the globe, including Mexico, Dubai, Zimbabwe, England and beyond.

San Antonio isn’t exactly known for high fashion, but event officials say TXFW is slowly working to change that.

“The growth of fashion in San Antonio and across Texas is just getting started,” Saige Thomas, President of TFII and Co-Founder of Texas Fashion Week, said in an emailed statement. “Our designers, our creative workforce, and our industry partners continue to prove that Texas is a powerful fashion hub with its own voice.”

In a 2023 article titled “Texas Fashion Week Positions San Antonio As An Emerging North American Fashion Hub,” even Forbes magazine gave the event a nod for elevating fashion in both Texas and the Alamo City.

TXFW Spring 2026 will feature runway shows, designer presentations, industry panels, educational programming, and community events throughout the week. As the first and only recognized statewide fashion week, TXFW officials tell the Current that the event’s goal is to champion designers while strengthening Texas’ creative economy.

The celebration’s setting is part of that growing prestige, Thomas added.

“Returning to Frost Tower for TXFW Spring 2026 reflects that upward momentum, and we’re excited to showcase the incredible talent shaping the future of fashion in our state,” Thomas said.

For Spring 2026, TXFW invites apparel, accessory, footwear, and couture designers to apply online, including their socials, website and a presentation fee ranging from $1,500 to $3,000.

Categories include Ready-to-Wear, Eveningwear, Couture, Avant-Garde, Streetwear, Accessories and more. The competition is open to Texas and national designers with limited international spots available.

Selected designers will also receive support from professional producers, industry media, buyer engagement, and business development opportunities provided through the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative (TFII).
