The eighth-seeded Nittany Lions (19-12), which beat South Florida 3-1 in the first game Friday, have endured a rocky season that included the September departure of All-American setter Izzy Starck because of mental health concerns. But the Nittany Lions still have a championship pedigree as well as an All-American attacker in 6-foot-6 Kennedy Martin.

Follow along for live scores and updates from a NCAA Tournament second-round match between  the Texas Longhorns and the Penn State Nittany Lions.

A heavyweight fight so far. Kennedy Martin is throwing some body blows with three kills for Penn State, but a strong Longhorn service game led by Emma Halter is keeping the Lions off-balance.

Abby Vander Wal gets a surprise start and the first kill for Texas.

When: 6:30 p.m. Saturday

Where: Gregory Gymnasium.
