Fans of a Texas country music star recently received a free meet-and-greet after spotting them in a small town near San Antonio. Just weeks before they embark on a multi-state tour, “Pretty Heart” singer Parker McCollum made a business operator do a double-take by visiting their restaurant.

McCollum was seen at the Broadway 830 pizza shop on Tuesday, December 2, according to a Facebook post. The eatery is located at 100 East Main Street in Uvalde, about 80 miles from the Alamo City.

General Manager Billy Joe Wilson tells MySA that the musician walked through their doors at about 12 p.m. and was recognized by one of the store’s pizza leads.

Wilson, who didn’t immediately notice the singer, says once it clicked, they thought “O.M.G., that’s Parker McCollum.” The Academy of Country Music award winner was “extremely nice and very accommodating,” Wilson says.

Broadway 830 serves everything from pasta to salads to sandwiches. So what did the vocalist opt for? According to Wilson, a large pizza and wings. He allegedly told staff that he “loves the pizza and [the] vibes” at the shop.

In a photo posted by the restaurant, McCollum is shown wearing a camouflage hoodie and Crocs to match (which reads remarkably Texan). He told staff he had been in the area for a hunting excursion.

The Conroe-native has a packed upcoming schedule come 2026. Beginning on Friday, January 23, they will start a 44-night tour that runs through the end of September. Tickets to McCollum's San Antonio show at the Frost Bank Center cost up to $453, according to Ticketmaster. (Courtesy of Broadway 830)

Luckily, Wilson has seen him in concert before. McCollum performed at a craft house he used to own in Port Aransas, he says, adding that it was a “great live show” and he is “very humble with the fame.”

Broadway 830 is family-owned and is described as a venue that “combines a small town’s charm with a big city’s vibrant energy.” It aims to fill Uvalde’s void of locally owned restaurants that offer hand-crafted cuisine in a social environment, similar to what is found in Austin, the company’s website states.

Hours for the shop are Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m.
