A 26-year-old man died Saturday night after a shooting in Old East Dallas, Dallas police said in a statement.

Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2700 block of Samuell Boulevard at about 10:20 p.m. on Saturday.

Officials determined Christian Velasquez Rosas, 26, had been shot at the location.

Velasquez Rosas was transported to the hospital, where he later died, police said.
