Irving police are investigating a fatal road rage incident Saturday, where a motorcyclist was targeted by a vehicle they said fled the scene afterward.
Ryan Sample, 20, died around 6 p.m. on westbound Interstate 635 near the exit for State Highway 161 in Irving, according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office. His death is listed as a homicide by the medical examiner.
Sample died during a road rage incident while driving a motorcycle, Irving police confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.
Sample was driving on the roadway when a vehicle involved in the road rage incident made a maneuver that forced him into the rear of another vehicle, police said.

The vehicle that targeted Sample fled the scene after the collision, police said.
Police did not release any other information regarding what caused the incident or if the driver who made the maneuver has been arrested.
