LUBBOCK, Texas (NEWS RELEASE FROM LPD) – The Lubbock Police Department was originally called to the Acacia Mobile Home Park in the 2300 block of Auburn Street at 5:48 p.m. for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Officers arrived and made contact with a male who eventually armed himself with a knife and refused to exit the home he was in. An LPD SWAT and Negotiator callout was initiated at 7:17 p.m.
Officers remain on the scene and in communication with the male. This event is isolated to one residence and there is no threat to the surrounding area.
