The first and second floors of the house were badly damaged in the fire, according to the Arlington Fire Department.
ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington fire crews battled a large house fire early Tuesday morning.Â
Firefighters on scene say the couple who lives in the 3700 block of Glenbrook Drive smelled smoke and self-evacuated around 2 a.m.Â
Once outside, they noticed heavy flames coming through the front and the roof of the home, according to authorities.Â
Fire crews believe the fire started in the attic space between the first and second floors.Â
Although the fire was extensive, firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze with the help of extra units in around 20 minutes.Â
No injuries were reported, according to Arlington Fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.Â
