LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Atmos Energy customers with past due balances could receive financial help before the winter heating season begins.
Atmos Energy is teaming up with South Plains Community Action to provide assistance to customers behind on their natural gas bills in the nine surrounding counties of Lubbock. Funding could cover past due debt, deposits and service charges.
On Thursday, Dec. 11, representatives will participate in the Energy Assistance Blitz from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. During that time, customers can meet with trained personnel who may provide assistance.
Atmos says funds will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Eligibility requirements include:
Must be an Atmos Energy residential customer and bill must be in applicant’s nameMust bring a copy of your last bill and/or your account numberMust not have received 3 Share the Warmth pledges in the past year No appointment necessary to apply for help at the event
