COLLEGE STATION — For the ninth time since the show’s inception, ESPN’s “College GameDay” is headed to Kyle Field.

No. 7 Texas A&M football will host No. 10 Miami in the first round of the College Football Playoff on Dec. 20 and ESPN is prepared to broadcast its nationally televised pregame show from Aggieland. Rece Davis hosts the show alongside Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Jen Lada, Pat McAfee and Jess Sims, as well as Nick Saban and national college football writer Pete Thamel.

The show airs from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. to kick off a slate of three CFP first-round games.

Along with GameDay, ESPN’s broadcasting team of Sean McDonough, Greg McElroy, Molly McGrath and Taylor McGregor will work the first-round matchup. It will be the second straight time the crew has called an Aggies game, the last one being Week 14 against Texas.

It’s the first time the show will be at Kyle Field since A&M’s 2024 loss to Texas. The pregame show also was held at A&M for head coach Mike Elko’s coaching debut last season, a Week 1 loss to Notre Dame.

This marks the 12th time in program history that the Aggies have played in a “College GameDay”-featured matchup.

The winner of A&M-Miami will advance to the quarterfinals and face Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Eve.
