CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA) will serve as a departure point for the American Airlines Snowball Express for the first time, honoring families of fallen First Responders.
In a press release on Thursday, the CCIA announced that American Airlines and the Gary Sinise Foundation have joined forces again, marking the 20th year of the Snowball Express.
The annual event transports more than 2,600 families of fallen military members and first responders to Walt Disney World for an all-expenses-paid experience.
This Saturday, Dec.13, six charter flights—including one from Corpus Christi—will carry First Responder families from eight cities nationwide.
American Airlines is providing 16 charter aircraft to support the holiday event.
