Growing up, my fondest Christmas memories include all the holiday traditions my parents would keep going like Santa visiting us at midnight on Christmas Eve, putting out cookies for Santa, setting out carrots for the reindeer and so much more.
However, these days, the traditions that parents do for their kids have changed… pretty drastically. What started as a simple Christmas tradition has transformed into a full-blown holiday phenomenon. Im talking about Elf on A Shelf!

Elf on a Shelf: The Holiday Tradition That’s Equal Parts Magic and Mischief
The idea is simple: Santa sends his scout elves to keep an eye on children during the holiday season, reporting back to the North Pole each night. From Pinterest-worthy setups to last-minute “just throw it on the counter” moments, the ‘Elf on the Shelf’ has become a cultural icon.
