Coastal Bend students display and sell handcrafted holiday items during the second annual Career and Technical Education market.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The second annual Career and Technical Education (CTE) Holiday Market at Carroll High School is offering the Coastal Bend community an opportunity to support local students and shop for unique, handcrafted holiday gifts.

The event showcases work created by students across multiple CTE programs, highlighting both their skills and creativity.

The event is tonight from 5-7:30 p.m. at Carroll High School located at 3202 Saratoga Blvd.

CCISD high school students stopped in our studios this morning to show us a preview of the items you can expect tonight.

Future leaders Elinora Yanez, Robert Benavidez, Shelby Park, Gabriel Reyes, Abigail Reyes, and Mariah Ortiz showcased items on First Edition that will be available for purchase, including cookies, handmade items for babies, household items, decorations, a photobooth with animals, writing letters to Santa and more.

Vanessa Perez-Peterson, Ed.D. Director of Career & Technical Education at Corpus Christi Independent School District says, “We will have a lot of student performers throughout our district coming and entertainment as well.”

Perez-Peterson says the market provides valuable real-world experience as students design, produce, and sell their own items. From holiday décor to handmade crafts, shoppers will find one-of-a-kind pieces while directly supporting young creators.
