Editor’s note: A featured pet may be adopted by the time you inquire, but many more are always waiting to meet you through the Humane Society of North Texas.

At the Humane Society of North Texas, adoption is about changing lives, one match at a time. Learn more about adoptions at HSNT’s Fort Worth and Keller locations, or at off-site adoption events held six days a week at HSNT.org.
As the holidays approach, the Humane Society of North Texas, or HSNT, is feeling the season’s spirit in full swing. The nonprofit helped thousands of pets find homes in 2025, and each adoption creates space for another animal in need at a time of overcrowded shelters across North Texas.
This week’s featured pets — Fuji and Moaz — arrive with festive personalities right for the festive season.
Fuji, a 2-month-old Siamese mix, is the kind of kitten who brings a house alive. She has a bright, bubbly playfulness that inspires giggling among humans. She zips after toys with determination, tumbles over her own paws, and then suddenly pauses before leaping into your lap and curling up for a cozy night of companionship. Friendly, curious and charming, Fuji is the ideal companion for families who want both fun and tenderness in one furry bundle.
Moaz, a 7-year-old terrier mix, brings a different kind of warmth. He is steady, affectionate and has the calm presence of a pet who knows exactly how to make a home feel peaceful. His gentle curiosity and quick mind keep him young, but his heart belongs to soft blankets and long cuddles. True to the meaning of his name, Moaz has a watchful, loyal nature. He is ready to be that one constant pal during the holiday season and beyond.
Fuji and Moaz are just two of the many pets waiting to brighten someone’s home this winter. Each adoption helps HSNT continue to support shelters across the region offering a second chance to pets who need it most.
