Maya’s Modern Mediterranean will close its Casa Linda location in East Dallas on Dec. 23 due to declining sales, the company announced.

DALLAS — Maya’s Modern Mediterranean will close its original Casa Linda restaurant on Dec. 23 after more than seven years in the East Dallas community, the company announced this week.

Owners said the decision came after a prolonged decline in sales, calling the move “very difficult” but necessary.

According to the announcement shared on social media, the closing date was chosen to give employees additional time to prepare for the transition and seek other opportunities during the holiday season.

“Our team means the world to us,” the statement said. “Supporting them through this transition is our top priority.”

The Casa Linda location earned a loyal following over the years, receiving recognition as “Best Mediterranean in Dallas” for two consecutive years and gaining a reputation for its hummus. The restaurant said it hopes longtime customers will visit before the final day of service to celebrate the memories “made together.”

Maya’s at Hillcrest Village will remain open and continue offering the same menu. The company encouraged customers to visit that location after the Casa Linda store closes.

As part of its farewell, the Casa Linda restaurant is offering 50% off all beer and wine starting immediately and continuing through Dec. 23.

“Thank you again for seven unforgettable years, Casa Linda,” the restaurant said. “We are grateful for this community — now and always.”
