It’s still early in the season, I totally get that, but it’s really starting to feel like Krista Gerlich the Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team are close to having a fairly significant sort of breakthrough.
Gerlich, now in her sixth season of leading the Texas Tech women’s basketball team, has steadily been building a solid team in Lubbock, but now we’re waiting for a step forward from her and from the entirety of the Lady Raider basketball team.
This is a team that is beating its opponents by just shy of 26 points per game (which is good). When it comes to shooting, Texas Tech is making 36.5 percent of its shots from deep while at the same time holding opponents to just 23.7 percent from behind the three point line.
This Texas Tech team looks respectable so far and that shows in the Big 12 women’s basketball standings.

The Lady Raiders do really stand a shot at having a solid season, as long as things continue the way that they’re going right now.
This is a team that has shown that it can win in a variety of ways. From tough, close contests against an SEC team like the Mississippi State Bulldogs to crushing teams like North Texas and Wichita State without any sort of issue. Texas Tech looks good so far this season.
