Dear God, he’s at it again! The president asked for redistricting and Gov. Greg Abbott promptly granted his wish in a special session. Then the prez asked for Texas National Guardsmen to march into Chicago and our weak guv ordered them to go.

Where is the sanity? I’m just a mother and grandmother still grieving the loss of my husband but cannot avoid seeing all this play ad nauseum on television. It’s almost driven me to watch Barney Fife mess up on the “Andy Griffith Show.”
Seriously, folks, others are appalled by the actions Trump has taken since January. Not only is he responsible for the government’s shutdown, now he threatens to deny pay for government employees who are idled by his whims. Callously, he says, some will get paid, others, we’ll see.
Let’s withhold pay for the president, the vice president, all Cabinet members, the House of Representatives and the Senate since they lack the will to stand up to the president’s abhorrent actions.
Under the president’s direction, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been turned into fearful service where officers must hide their faces. Those men and women are following directions but face the results of bad leadership.
White House actions are a threat to American values and rights under the Constitution. The man cannot take a joke, so, Jimmy Kimmel is suspended, but Disney felt the pinch of profit loss and brings him back. The prez then decides to look into their license, threatening free speech again.
He rants about the Super Bowl halftime entertainment selection, has American armed troops in cities where crime has declined, all to cover up what is in the Epstein files and fabrication of facts to achieve warped goals.
It’s time for all of us to stand up to this bully. The men who strived to make the 13 colonies a country gave us a Constitution and rights that have stood over 200 years.
We cannot, must not stand by as the rights of all Americans are threatened by this Ozymandias. I can find time to write to my senators. Let’s all call them, write to them and urge them to put aside the party label and stand up for America.
