The future of learning is taking shape in Plano ISD!
Community members recently toured major bond construction sites across the district and saw the exciting progress firsthand. From the CTE Center to Williams High School, Haggard Middle School and all three senior high schools, members took an inside look at how new learning spaces, innovative upgrades and major renovations are setting a new standard in education.
The group toured projects via Plano ISD’s electric school buses, which allowed participants to travel between sites while seeing the improvements up close.
In November 2022, Plano ISD voters approved a $1.34 billion bond package and a Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE). In addition to these projects, the bond allowed the district to implement additional safety measures, ADA-accessible playgrounds at all elementary schools and more.
These projects were guided by the ideas and priorities shared by our community. Now, they are becoming real spaces that will serve students for decades to come.
