Texas A&M’s success on the recruiting trail under head coach Mike Elko has been noteworthy, picking up where former HC Jimbo Fisher left off, while second-year wide receiver coach Holmon Wiggins, who is a candidate to take over as the program’s offensive coordinator next season amid Collin Klein’s departure, has been at the forefront of landing, and securing three of the top receivers in the 2026 signing class.
With four-star wide receivers Aaron Gregory, Madden Williams, and Mike Brown all headed to College Station next season, the focus now shifts to the 2027 cycle, and one name has continued to stick out, as four-star wideout and Los Angeles (CA) native Quentin Hale has become a priority prospect, recently visiting Kyle Field during the Aggies’ historic comeback win over South Carolina.
However, according to Rivals/On3 insider Adam Gorney, Alabama and USC have been the frontrunners. At the same time, Hale’s latest offer from LSU has only expanded his interest, which still includes Texas and Texas A&M. After visiting the Aggies, Hale has this to say about his experience in College Station and meeting with Holmon Wiggins.
“Texas A&M was really good with coach (Holmon) Wiggins. He treated me really well.”
Still, Hale was also in attendance during Texas A&M’s season finale road loss to Texas, which doesn’t bode well for the Aggies, but his budding relationship with Wiggins is undoubtedly a good sign. During his 2025 junior season, Hale hauled in 62 receptions for 872 yards and 12 touchdowns.

According to Rivals, Hale is currently positioned as the 50th-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the 6th-ranked wide receiver, and the 7th-ranked prospect in California.
