CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The runoff election results for the City of Robstown are in and show us residents have elected a new mayor.

Mary Ann Saenz took the lead Saturday night, defeating David “Petey” Martinez by just 13 votes.

Our Lidia Herrera spoke with Saenz just after the results came in.

“My dream is big for this little town,” she said. 

“All I ask people is to be able to make a judgement on what you see and to be able to make a decision on what you know, and today, it was a tight one but I ended up victorious. So I am very happy and ready to get to work and to get started on this journey as Mayor of Robstown,” said Saenz.

Also on the ballot, John Ramon won the Place One Council seat with 54% of the vote.
