A Corpus Christi Police Department officer is facing charges for theft of non-city funds, according to the department.
Officer Travis Haecker faces three charges of theft from person, credit card or debit card abuse and misappropriation or theft of financial property valued at greater than $750 and less than $2,500, according to the Kendall County Jail.
Haecker turned himself in to the Kendall County Jail, according to a news release from the Corpus Christi Police Department.

He was booked at 8:12 p.m. Dec. 12 and released at 8:44 p.m., Kendall County Jail administration confirmed.
The Corpus Christi Police Department began an internal and criminal investigation on Haecker after receiving a complaint of theft of non-city funds, according to the news release. The department then presented evidence to the Nueces County District Attorney’s Office for review, and the county issued arrest warrants for Haecker, the news release said.
