A Fort Worth man faces multiple assault charges after allegedly chasing a woman and firing multiple shots at a car she entered while fleeing an attack on Tuesday night.

Jordan Ceralde, 33, was arrested after the dangerous pursuit that left a vehicle riddled with bullet holes but miraculously caused no injuries.

The incident began around 10:04 p.m. when police received reports of a man assaulting a woman outside a motel in the 4800 block of North Freeway.

The woman escaped by jumping into a nearby occupied vehicle. But Ceralde allegedly followed in his own car and opened fire on the fleeing vehicle.

Officers located both vehicles and the individuals involved. Several rounds struck the victim’s vehicle, though Fort Worth police confirmed no one was injured.

Ceralde faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. One charge includes a family violence enhancement, though investigators haven’t clarified the exact relationship between Ceralde and the victim.

The victim’s identity remains undisclosed. The investigation continues as detectives work to piece together what sparked the violent confrontation.

Ceralde is currently in custody at the Tarrant County jail, charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, with bail set at $50,000.
