It’s National Pasta Day. To celebrate it properly, here are my 3 favorite places for Italian food in E Paso.
National Pasta Day comes around every October 17th and pays tribute to the humble noodle. From Ramen to mac ‘n cheese; pasta plays a role in many different cuisines.
It’s most closely associated with Italian food though so, here are my 3 El Paso Italian faves to go chomp some down.
There are lots of places in El Paso to enjoy Italian food at both corporate and locally owned restaurants. My favorite Italian dish is, (usually) Lasgana and I love supporting local businesses so those were my criteria. Local. Lasagna.
Dubba G’s Top 3 (In No Particular Order)
Monteleone’s Ristorante, 3023 Gateway West. This one scores twice … not only do you get an amazing lasagna; you get to eat it in a semi – creepy former home that is haunted AF.

The ambiance was perfected by owner Gary Monteleone, a former Hollywood prop and set builder. The paranormal activity is courtesy of the home/restaurants “permanent guests”.
Texas Monthly says it all started with a statue of the Virgin Mary found hidden in the buildings walls during initial restoration work.
The Italian Kitchen, 2923 Pershing
The, (original), Italian Kitchen is also a renovated home in central El Paso, near 5 Points. 77 years old and still going way strong, they make an amazing lasagna and they also have ghosts of their own.
For some reason, Casper and his buddies have a thing for old homes remodeled as restaurants with good Italian food.
Como’s Italian Restaurant. 4030 N. Mesa
 Not only have they also been around a long time, Como’s was first opened by Josephine Abraham in 1958. Her sons name may be more familiar to you.
You’ve seen him hung from a helicopter in Scarface,  he was the voice of Grimmel in How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and, among many other things, he “rocked us” as composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
