A new data-driven study by FishingBooker ranked both cities for best fishing destination, highlighting year-round access to bays, piers, and Gulf waters.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Port Aransas has landed at No. 2 and Corpus Christi at No. 3 in Texas in a new data-driven study by FishingBooker, the world’s largest platform for booking fishing trips.
The rankings are based on more than 100,000 fishing trips across the state and take into account factors such as customer satisfaction, guide quality, booking demand, and overall value.
Other popular fishing destinations, such as South Padre Island and Rockport, landed at No. 4 and No. 5.
FishingBooker says both cities stood out for its consistently strong customer reviews, highly rated and award-winning fishing guides, and wide range of fishing opportunities.
Anglers can target everything from redfish and speckled trout in local bays to offshore reef and pelagic species, making Corpus Christi one of the most diverse fisheries in Texas.
The study also pointed to steady, year-round booking demand from both local and visiting anglers.
“Corpus Christi continues to deliver the kind of reliability anglers value,” said Vukan Simic, founder and CEO of FishingBooker. “A strong guide community, diverse waters and consistent success across trip types all contribute to its high ranking.”
