As it turns out, the ‘Sick New World‘ festival will be coming back swinging in 2026. The festival’s official website, sicknewworldfest.com, has newly been updated with a tease of a Texas-based edition of the annual festival as well. A recent leak for the festival confirmed the Las Vegas edition will be taking place April 25th, 2026 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds in Las Vegas, NV. Advertising around that date has already begun to ramp up in the aforementioned city.
Thus far, full details for the first-ever Texan stop have yet to be disclosed. However, an October 24th stop in Fort Worth, TX appears to be planned. Multi-platinum Armenian-American nü-metal stars System Of A Down are expected to headline this year’s fest, with the rest of the bill still pending. The decision to hit two cities next year follows a tough showing in 2025 for ‘Sick New World‘, which after successful runs in 2023 and 2024, was forced to cancel their planned instalment this year.
Despite booking headlining sets from Metallica and Linkin Park, that fest suffered from overbooking and sluggish ticket sales, leading to it begin canceled months ahead of time. It’s been reported that the financial risks of having such an expensive roster of talent began to mount and caused the plug to be pulled.
